Own land
The advantage of a vacation home with private land is that you own the entire lot. So your vacation home is on the grounds of the vacation park, but the land on which your home stands is yours. Even if the vacation park is sold or goes bankrupt, for example, you remain the owner of the cottage and the land.
Rental land
When you buy a vacation home on rental land, you are cheaper in the short term because you only buy the cottage itself. On the other hand, you have an annual additional cost of renting the land of about €4,500 euros. A vacation home with its own land is therefore cheaper in the long run than a vacation home on rented land.

The advantages of buying a vacation home with your own land
The advantage of buying a vacation home with your own land is that you own the entire lot. So you can do whatever you want with it, because the entire vacation home and the land it stands on is yours. When you buy a vacation home with your own land, you pay a higher price because you are buying the entire lot. On the other hand, you do not have any additional costs of rent or ground lease of the land, something that can save you money in the long run.
At TopParken it is not obligatory to buy the land belonging to the vacation home. Therefore, you can also choose another construction, such as rent or ground lease. With rental, you pay a rental price for the land on which the accommodation you have purchased is situated. If you opt for ground lease, you also pay a kind of rent called canon. Leasehold is a right that falls between rent and purchase. For the period you pay ground rent you may use the land as if you owned it and have the same rights.
When you want to buy a vacation home it is important to think about this and take it into account. If you buy the home without the land, the price of the home will be lower but you will still pay annual rental fees or ground rent.
